The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) has Foundation 2 (F2) children who are full time, and Foundation 1 (F1) children who are part time. Children can start at Holy Trinity from the term after the one in which they are four. The children spend one or two terms attending part time (depending on when their birthday falls) before starting full time in the September. Mrs Jemma Hughes is the class teacher and co-ordinator for the EYFS.
All children have supervised access to IT equipment, and children enjoy a wide variety of practical play based activities.
- All children have supervised access to computers, laptops and ipads.
- Children enjoy learning through a practical play based curriculum, with a well planned balance of child initiated and adult led activities.
- We make use of the outdoor learning environment on a daily basis.
Children may attend for up to five sessions per week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and Tuesday afternoon.
Most children stay for a school dinner on Tuesday and as this helps them get used to staying for a whole day, the step up to full time education is quite seamless.
