Our Ethos & Values

Ethos and Values

As a Church School we value the link with Holy Trinity Church. The Governors have agreed the following Ethos Statement:

“Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England, and in partnership with the Church at Parish and Diocesan level.

The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to its pupils, while welcoming families of different or no faith.”

Beliefs and Principles to which we work –

Staff will strive to:

  • raise achievement for all
  • have high expectations for all
  • create a stimulating learning environment

So that children can:

  • have fun and enjoy school
  • achieve to the best of their ability
  • be given the opportunities to work collaboratively and independently, and make choices
  • learn from first hand experiences wherever possible
  • feel able to take risks, make mistakes and to learn from them
  • learn life skills to prepare them for adult life

All with reference to Christian values.
