Science is taught through a variety of topics eg light, colour, living things etc, where the children will often be involved in investigations and practical activities. Children develop concepts and increase their understanding as they grow older.

The beautiful countryside on our doorstep is used to teach about living things and we have also travelled further afield to support scientific learning. For example, a car mechanic visited to help the children with the “How things move” topic and a visit from a physiotherapist with a skeleton helped the children understand how their bodies work.
