We had our first wedding in Class 1, the children completely orchestrated this wedding. We help them to set up the church. The bride was led down the aisle by her father to the wedding march and passed over to her husband to be. Miss Bradford officiated the marriage and they sealed it with a high five and a hug. The newly weds were then taken for some photographs before they shared their first dance to Little Mermaids - Kiss the Girl.
We would like to congratulate the newly weds with some photos of their special day, featured below. Enjoy!
On Remembrance Day, the children in Class 1 took part in a 2 minute silence to remember the men and woman that fought in the war. We learnt about why poppies are so important and why people wear them now. We did lots of Poppy themed activities such as, poppy printing using apples and cutting out the parts of a poppy to create a picture. We also played a memory game and learnt about different items from the war and that are significant to Remembrance Day.
In Class 1, we have been learning all about Bonfire night and how to keep safe around fireworks! The children made their own Catherine Wheels using paper plates and decorated them with sparkly strips of foil.
As part of our Superhero topic we have been writing secret messages using watercolour paints and white crayons.
